WII Fit

I looked into wii fit a little bit, to see what makes it tick. I was surprised to see that the wii fit actually keeps a lot of stats on a persons fitness. This video pretty much sums it up. I like how the user can put in a goal weight, and the time they have to achieve that goal, so the game works out how much exercise you have to do.

Focus Group (1)

At this stage I have asked a few people if they would be in our focus group for this project. The sort of people I have asked are people who live in Wellington and are potentially interested in improving their fitness; they also need to be over 18 and non-games*. I have tried to get a fair representation of ages and genders.


These are the things we want to ask the people in the focus group at this stage-
-Pitch the game to them and see what they think of it so far, and to see if they would be likely to play it.
-Would they prefer to see their own face on the digital character, or would they prefer to just customize an avatar?
-What do they think of the game having a story line? And if they think it's a good idea, then should the story line be 'cheesy'?




*By non-gamers we (as a group) mean people that do not play hand held games on a regular basis.

The above images are of other types of caseings that are not as popular but are on the market
i'm thinking like a sling maybe for our ipaq and it sits on your chest sortof like those baby slings made of material that people carry there babys in, which look weird and like there is just a budle of grocerys in it but there is a baby

so maybe somthing with clips and stuff i dunno just figured i'd get ahead of the game and do some research into these things

Hey guys i had a wee snoop around the nike plus sight and to be honest its kinda lame but i guess for people who have a nike plus they may like it,

however it is easy to naviagte around, simple interface, tipical nike plus colouring etc
